Spartans are Going Up

On September 19th the Spartans took on the Air Force Falcons. The game was played in East Lansing, Michigan. First MSU scored with Cook passing to Price for a 15 yard touchdown. Now that the game is 7-0 the Falcons fumble it and RJ Williamson recovers it and runs it to the house for a 64 yard defensive touchdown. Then late in the 1st quarter Air Force scored. This making the score 14-7 Spartans. Going into the second quarter Aaron Burbridge caught a pair of TD's. At the half it was 28-7 MSU. Opening up the third Burbridge caught his third TD and made the lead 35-7. At the end of the game MSU gave up some touchdowns but in the end the Spartans prevailed with the score of 35-21. Something really big happened later that Saturday. Number 2 Alabama lost to the 15th ranked team in the nation Ole Miss. Since this happened most football followers would think TCU, the team ahead of MSU at the time, would move to second from third and MSU to third from fourth. But since MSU has beat a top 10 team and played a stronger roster at the time MSU went straight to second and TCU stayed at third while Ole Miss shot up to third since they received the same amount of votes. So the top 3 look like this: Ohio State 1, Michigan State 2, TCU/Ole Miss 3. Since two teams are third there are no fourth best teams in the country. On Saturday Sep.26 MSU played Central Michigan. The game is obviously going to be a win for the Spartans but with them hopefully winning they will be 4-0, 4 wins/ 0 losses, MSU will have played at the end of the year 3 Michigan teams. They played Western Michigan, playing Central this week, and playing Michigan in Ann Harbor.
All I have to say is may the Green and White be with YOU!
Goooooooooo Spartans!!!

Spartans VS. The Ducks

  • The week of September 7th the Michigan State Spartans are facing off against the Oregon Ducks. This game is a rematch of last year's game which the Ducks beat the Spartans on September 6th, 46-27. Leading the way for the Ducks was Heisman soon to be Marcus Mariota and Oregon's fast paced offense. Sadly Connor Cook and the Spartans did not come out with the victory. This year the big game is in East Lancing, Michigan, home of the Spartans. Coming into this year's game Michigan State is ranked fifth in nation with the Oregon close behind at seventh. The prectided victor of this game are the Spartans by a slim margin of four. Another thing coming into this week is that both Michigan State and Oregon are 1-0 and ranked in the top ten. this means that the loser is most likely to be booted out of the top ten.The game was intence. Both teams came out runnning and gunning. With the halftime score of 14-7 MSU. Michigan States defence are what helped the spartans maintain the lead in the first half forcing Adam(Oregon's quarterback) two throw two interceptions and stop Oregon at the one yard line on fourth and goal which if Oregon scored Michigan State would have lost. After the first jumping straight into the fourth quarter it was 31-21 and then Adams threw a fenominal throw and Marshall and the score was 31-28. Michigan State had it in them and they won the game barely by three. Which is one of the perdicted margin which was MSU by four. Now the Spartans are ranked 4th in the nation and the Ducks are 13th. Now going into the week of Sep. 14th MSU is taking on Airforce in East Lancing. Even though it's going to be a home game MSU has to deal with the dual option of Airforce. This means that the quarterback can keep or throw the ball to the running back while running forward. He can not throw the ball ahead it must be at least to the side or behind him. Lets see who wins the game....
  • GO SPARTANS!!!!!!!!!!
