On October third, MSU played their first conference game against Purdue. Purdue is a school in West La Fayette, Indiana. This game was played in East Lancing, Michigan. In the first quarter, with 7'11'' left in the quarter, MSU's LJ Scott scores a 18yd. touchdown which brings the score 14-0. Prior to this, Scott already had a 1yd TD. This wraps up the first quarter and now we move into the second quarter. Here, there was only one score and it belonged to the Spartans. Connor Cook (MSU QB) threw a quick shovel pass to RJ Sheldon (Wideout) for the 23yd score. Going into half time, the Spartans were up 21-0. Going into the Second half and the third quarter there was a still one score but this time it belonged to Purdue with a 2yd TD pass. With that extra point, it made the score 21-7 going into the fourth quarter. Not even a minute into the fourth, Purdue manages to score and makes the game a one possession game with the score at 21-14 MSU. Later, in the fourth the Spartans took a field goal to make it a ten point game at 24-14. Purdue wasn't done. They ended up scoring and making the game 24-21 Spartans. Luckily the Spartans held on and won the game making them 5-0 (1-0) in the season and 1-0 in conference. Now, looking into this weeks game coming up on October 10th, the Spartans are playing Rutgers. Rutgers is also in the Big Ten. The college is located in New Jersey. Rutgers is 2-2 and 0-1 in this conference. They are not the best team yet not the worst. They have not played anyone big this season but they will on Saturday.
Finally my quote of the week is:
Spartans phone in a Win.
