Going back on last weeks game the Spartans came away with a victory. Going into the first quarter there was three attempts to score from both teams combined and the Spartans were the ones that scored. Central Michigan attempted two field goals and both were blocked by the MSU defensive line. Demitrius Copper and Shilique Calhoun were credited with the two blocks. After the first block MSU's runningback London scored a TD and the score was 7-zip MSU. Going into the second though MSU opened it up with a field goal to make it a 10 point game. Then Central Michigan scored a touchdown in response. Going into the half the score was 10 to 7 Spartans. The only score in the third quarter was a field goal surprisingly made by Central Michigan. This would be their last score and MSU would pull ahead in the fourth. In the fourth another back for the Spartans Holmes scored a pair of TDs in the fourth one of the extra points was blocked. The final score of the game was 30-10 with the Spartans winning. This make them 4-0. Looking forward to the game on the 3rd of October Michigan State is playing their 100th homecoming and are playing their first confrence game this season. This game is at home for the Spartans. They will be playing the Purdue Boilermakers. Knowing that MSU will win it will make them 5-0. This game will also make them top in the division for their conference at the time. What this means is that MSU's conference is the Big 10. It has 14 teams, and is split into two divisions, east and west. The only big competition MSU has is Michigan and Ohio State for a couple reasons. One is that MSU plays both away not at home. The other is that OSU is ranked number one in the nation at the moment. All I have to say is that if MSU stays undefeated or only loses to OSU they will make the playoffs no doubt.
Finally all I need to say is, Spartans. Michigan State Spartans.
